Nelson came to us from a high kill shelter and we are very thankful to have him! He patiently put up with a bath to remove sap from his chest within minutes of arriving. He likes to be held and cuddled but prefers to come to you rather than vice versa and likes to be sweat-talked. The Santa Cruz SPCA's adoption package for dogs and cats includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip/registration, an ID tag, collar, coupons, a free health exam, 30 days of free pet health insurance, discounted crate purchase and other animal care materials. Puppies under 1 year of age are $300, dogs over 1 year are $200, and senior dogs are $150. If an animal is 6 years old or more, they qualify for our Senior Pets For Senior People program.
